The envelope

by adustyframe ~ September 18th, 2006

I don’t know how many posts you’ve read here. If you’ve read a few perhaps you have heard about my envelope story.

Several times over these past 2 years, I have checked my mailbox at church to find an envelope with my name typed on it. Inside is money. Several times it’s been 2 $100 bills.

Tonight it was 1–$100 for me! The same envelope.

I don’t know who has been doing this for me. Obviously they don’t want me to know. I was just praying for money to subscribe to a homeschooling magazine, or for the math curriculum I would like to use.

I think that this amount would cover both. I was planning which bill to put it on and then the Lord reminded me that I had prayed about those 2 needs for school. So I think I’m going to get those items and count it as God’s direct provision.

I pray that the Lord will richly bless this person for their willingness to share with us.

I am so thankful–I wish I could let them know how thankful, but God knows and He will reward them for reaching out their hand to the needy.

    wooo hooo! Praise God!

God is so gracious. It is the little reminders (or not so little!) that help us carry on when times are tough.

    ‘His love in times past
    Forbids me to think
    He’ll leave me at last
    In trouble to sink
    Each sweet Ebeneezer
    I have in review
    Confirms His good pleasure
    To help me right through’.
