It’s late. I’m too tired to come up with a better title!
Since my husband is behind bars, he’s unable to be a participant in our schooling.
However, he is still the head of our home and I want him to feel like he’s a part of this.
To make sure he’s part of all this first and […]

You see this week, the judge […]

This was my old blessing. It truly was a blessing because I did need a vehicle.
It just wasn’t overly trustworthy. It needed to be replaced before winter. I also needed to be able to drive out of town.
This is the wonderful blessing from my father in law

** Journal entry from 2004.
Encouraging people makes me happy. I used to write cheery little notes to friends.
I’d spend hours decorating little cards, writing notes, praying for my friends.
I didn’t do these things for attention. I just wanted to encourage and remind them of God’s goodness.
I haven’t done much encouraging lately. I still want people […]

I want to thank those of you that have read and commented here.
Saying that you are praying for us is truly a blessing. Even if it’s a quick prayer when you read a post, it means more to me than I can say.
When I was in college, I wanted to somehow be involved in women’s […]

Today I realized that this day 2 years ago was the day my husband kissed us goodbye in the morning and didn’t come home.
He went to work that day and had to sleep at the facility at night.
After he was sentenced, he had 3 weeks at home with us. Those were melancholy days.
We went about […]

Forgiveness

This post on forgiveness will probably not be the most beautiful post I’ve ever written.
My journey to forgive my husband lasted for a very long time. It wasn’t instant and it wasn’t easy.
I still struggle sometimes and have to ask the Lord for his power and strength to help me. When my son cries himself […]

Homeschooling

I have been contemplating this post for quite some time.
Homeschooling in and of itself brings challenges. Doing it alone brings a few more.
We are in full swing and I’ve learned some things.
1. We don’t have to do what everyone else thinks we should do.
2. We can skip some things some days and still be doing […]
