Dirty bowls

by adustyframe ~ October 2nd, 2006

There seem to be a lot of dirty mixing bowls and pans in my sink lately.

That may not seem different to you, but it is for me.

I have a degree in Home Ec and I used to love to bake and cook. Since all of this happened, I have been so tired and mostly just making it everyday with the very basics.

I can’t remember the last time I made a recipe without it wearing me out.

I am sure that sounds really silly, but I truly had no energy for anything extra.

This year, I’ve been feeling much much better, but I’d still think I should make this cake or those muffins and not have the energy to do it.

The last couple weeks though, I just must be feeling a little more back to normal.

I have made granola, cake, a popover pizza casserole, cookies. Yesterday when I was doing dishes, I was surprised at all the mixing bowls.

Life getting back to normal is a very good thing.

My server has been down for a while so I have been blog and e-mailess! ( a new word I just invented :)
I have been reading the last few posts. You may not know it but your faith in God is a real challenge to me. It is so easy to say ‘Thy will be done’ when everything is ok. Not so easy when life gets tough. We had a great sermon on Sunday about hope in affliction. I don’t know the link, but if you go to my blog, click on the ‘current church’link and go to on-line sermons you can listen to it if you want. Thank you for reminding me that I should stop worrying and start being grateful for all that I have.A God who knows when a sparrow falls down dead knows exactly how to care for His children……I wish I remembered that a bit more often.
Three cheers for home baking and normal life :)

Thank you Susanna. If I have time I will listen to that sermon.

I am thankful that my faith in our wonderful God shines through even these hard things I’m talking about.

I want you to know that that it is only him. If it were me, I’d have given up a long time ago.
It is true that he gives us grace in the time of need.

    Glad you’re not e-mailess anymore!

I’ve just got to ask, what is a pizza popover casserole?

  4. adustyframe

Amy, I will try to remember to email you the recipe.
