I was thinking today (while driving our newest blessing) that God is so good to answer our prayers.

This car was so much more than a “it would sure be nice”. We needed a vehicle.

My son and I prayed for a van or a nicer car.

The other day I said “See God knew we didn’t need a van because he had this car for us.”

I think this is an awesome proof to  my little boy that God hears and answers prayers in his timing.

The thing is that this car isn’t just a more dependable car. It is a very nice car.

It has a cd player, power steering, automatic everything, and even a sunroof.

Isn’t that just like God to answer prayers exceedingly abundantly above what I even prayed for? I would have never cared about a sunroof but even so God gave us something with a super nice extra.

Last summer this happened as well. My son was needing a swing or climber to be able to play more in the yard. I prayed about it.

I looked at Walmart all the time at the swings. The problem was they weren’t cheap but they were poorly made. I also had no clue how I would assemble a swingset on my own.

Our neighbors had a wood frame with a slide that they had offered to sell to me.

I asked them one day if they were ready to sell the swing and she said

“No we’re just giving it to you.” Her husband and sons hoisted it over our fences and planted it in our backyard.  I had to buy a swing and rings but that was all.

Everytime I look at the swing, I am blessed. It’s a super nice swing. Not a cheaply made expensive set, but a very nice solid wood swing.

I am so thankful that I trusted God for the swing and for a vehicle. He provides so much better than I even ask for.

I am thankful that he teaches me to lean on him and wait for his answers. If I had been impatient and ran ahead and bought a car or swing, I’m positive I would have had to settle for much less than what God had in store for me.
