Today, I went for a massage.
The lady said I should go every month. Apparently I have a lot of tense spots. (Wonder why?) I tried not to laugh at her. Every month would be fabulous.
I was there because some who love me paid for it for me as a birthday gift.
Otherwise, my sore spots and […]

Notes on Discouragement

Here are the notes I took when I went to In Touch to hear the sermon my husband called me about.
Discouragement
Disappointment is an emotional response to a failed expectation or desire.
Discouragement is a choice.
If you don’t deal with disappointment you will become discouraged.
This leads to
1. A divided mind.
Thinking about the problems
2. Look for someone to […]

We had a lovely Christmas

I feel so blessed that our Christmas was completely delightful.
Aside from missing daddy very much, we had a blessed day.
We slept in and woke to a quiet morning.
We opened presents very leisurely. My son took a lot of time enjoying things and looking at things as he opened.
From Daddy, Angel Tree brought a pair […]

This week he’s called 3 times. He’s burning up the phone credit. I don’t mind though because this week is hard for us to be apart.
All the weeks are hard, but this Christmas is particularly difficult.
He was in good spirits and he said,
“Do you think God ever sits down by you and speaks to you?”
I […]

Recently, I purchased an e-book from Cindy Rushton about notebooking. I found a great sale on it awhile ago.
Since I am a scrapbooker this is right up my alley. I am really excited about it and my son is enjoying it. So far we have made a music notebook for our music and composer […]

This week I am feeling so blessed. Even pampered and dare I say it? Spoiled!
The post office is delivering package after package.
Some from my family, some from my friends.
One arrived for my son. My sister sent him something for him to give to me.
He disappeared in his room with wrapping paper and came out with […]

I was reminded of this wonderful book when I was reading at Advent for Evangelicals earlier this month.
I own all the Jan Karon books and I thought I owned this one but it wasn’t on my shelf. I borrowed it from the library and have been thoroughly enjoying visiting Mitford again.
I am always blessed when […]

Pastor went to see him yesterday.
He said he saw some very big changes.
He said that my husband is looking forward to coming home and being a godly husband and father. He is reading and studying a lot. Pastor was encouraged by that.
Pastor was able to stay for 3 1/2 hours. I know that this visit […]

Well I still don’t exactly know what is wrong.
My nephew tells me it will be in my driveway when I wake up in the morning. (We shall see). He doesn’t think it’s any sort of big problem.
So here is what happened after I posted the other day.
I used Pastor’s car all week until tonight.
The church […]
