Ham
by adustyframe ~ December 5th, 2006Our ladies group has started a Monday night Bible study. One of our Titus 2 women didn’t come because she didn’t like to drive at night.
She lives near me so I offered to pick her up. She was so excited and said she had a great time.
We were almost home last night and she said, “I got a free ham at the grocery store. Can I give it to you?”
I am in the habit of not turning down blessings! So I said sure.
She stepped into her house and came out with a real ham. The yummy kind not the canned ham. She also had a bag of potatoes. She said “These said I should give them to you too.”
What a blessing. This ham is huge. We will be able to have a lot of meals from it.
She and her husband write to my husband. They encourage him so much.
I know I said it just the other day, but these things are not small. They mean so much to us.
Next time you feel that you should share something with someone, just do it.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing my friend with a Titus 2 woman, a ham and potatoes.

My wife remarked a couple weeks ago how much fun it is to encourage and help people out in unexpected ways – we probably don’t do that as much as we should. God is good.

Thanks for your comment over at my advent blog—would you care to guest blog and tell my readers more about how we can help someone this Christmas in the program you talked about?
If so, let me know and drop me an email.

Wow! What a blessing!
I know that one day when life was difficult, someone left a sack of groceries at my door, the ingredients for spaghetti & a loaf of french bread & brownies.
It was very similar to a package I’d left a few years earlier at someone else’s door, but she’d never admit it came from her.
It was an awesome encouragement.
I agree with Patricia, Jon and Amy – God is good & I’m thanking Him for blessing you!
