Contraband
by adustyframe ~ January 11th, 2007A couple weeks ago, I sent my husband a letter. I think it just had “stuff” in it.
On one of our phone calls, he said, “What did you put in that letter?”
I didn’t know what he was talking about.
He said he got a slip that said it contained “contraband” and he couldn’t have the letter.
I never received it back so I’m not exactly sure what I put in it.
The only thing I can think of is I put in the church bulletin.
Oops.

Sorry that happened, hopefully he will get another letter from you very soon.

That’s odd. I guess you can hope the person who confiscated the bulletin will read it and come to church.

how awful.
I guess it’s hard to know what will be confiscated & what won’t.
I’m so sorry about that.

wow … amazing what we don’t think of, isn’t it

It was the ‘how to make a nail file and escape kit from scratch diy sheet that did it
But seriously, that is quite dissappointing for you both. They ought to have clear gudielines about what is and isn’t acceptable. The one encouragement can be that some prison guards are reading the words of spiritual encouragement you send one another and may be blessed. I’ll pray for them tonight.
