Popover Pizza Casserole

by adustyframe ~ March 5th, 2007

Many posts ago, I posted here about finally having enough energy to cook.

I had a request for this recipe, which I’m just now getting around to posting.

Pop over pizza casserole

Pizza:
1 ½ lb Hamburger , browned
1c chopped onion
1 c chopped green pepper (opt)
1/8 tsp garlic (or 1 clove crushed)
½ tsp oregano
Dash salt
½ c water
1 jar spaghetti sauce
6-8 oz mozzarella, or cheddar, or a mixture

Batter:
1 c milk
1 Tb oil
2 eggs
1 c flour
½ tsp salt
½ c grated cheese

1. Add pizza ingredients to browned hamburger.

2. Combine milk, oil, eggs. Beat 1 minute at medium speed. Add flour , salt, beat 2 minutes or til smooth.

3. Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 9×13 pan. Top with cheese slices.

4. Pour batter over cheese. Cover filling completely. Sprinkle with grated cheese.

5. Bake 400 f for 25-30 minutes.

6. Cut into squares and flip it over (so crust is on bottom)
