No visit yet

by adustyframe ~ March 16th, 2007

I wasn’t able to go visit my husband today.

I didn’t know he was coming up here until last night. I had to work all day today. I have to work all day tomorrow too.

I am going to try to go on Sunday afternoon.

It was a strange feeling to know he’s within a very short distance and I can’t see him.

I can feel him though. Honestly I can.

I kept thinking all day, “He’s here. He’s HERE. HE’S HERE!” and I was feeling like a bad wife that I wasn’t able to get out there today–or tomorrow.

I want so much to get a hug and to visit. I was thinking that if it were me and he didn’t come out today, I’d probably be hurt. I hope he’s not. I told him I had to work this weekend.

I called Pastor to let him know. He was glad too. He said this will make it so much easier on all of us.

It really will! Unfortunately phone calls will still be crazy but he’s limited to 2 calls per week here. Good for the budget at least.

I did a lot of praying today too. For some reason this move feels like a change is coming.

I prayed that I will be the wife that God wants me to be. That we won’t revert to our old habits and patterns. That things will truly be different and that God will be glorified.

I prayed to about all the “what ifs”. There are lots, but God knows and he will equip us to deal with them.

Thanks for all your sweet comments in the woo hoo post. You are the best blog readers ever!

God will honor your faithfulness to Him, to your husband :) Won’t be easy, but God will cover you with His honor :)

I’m sure Lee is just as anxious as you for a visit, but I’m sure he also understands that you have your work obligations too. Wow – I’m still stunned and so happy for you that he’s here, he’s HERE, HE’S HERE!

My cousin lived in Albania for two years. I know about crazy phone calls! Have you looked into phone cards or any of those 10-10 phone plans things?

    Hi Wooden Porch:)

No nothing like that works. There’s no way around it. Some people call it a racket –did I just say that?;)

Here’s how it works. I have to put $50 on my phone line plus they charge $8 to accept my credit or debit card payment.

Then phone calls are about $7 for 20 minutes. There is no other way to do it.
Same price even though he’s not even long distance anymore.
Thanks for the idea though. I appreciate any and all input.
