Thinking Blogger Award
by adustyframe ~ April 3rd, 2007
I was nominated for a Thinking Blogger award. Shayne at Better is One Day in Your Courts sent me the nomination.
She was so sweet in her words including me in blogs she finds thought provoking.
She said, “because words cannot express how much I admire her strength and her weakness. She makes my crusty heart melt with her compassion and willingness to trust the Lord no matter what her circumstances look like.”
I don’t think you have a crusty heart!
I truly do hope that this blog causes you to think. Most of all I desire for you to contemplate the mercy and goodness of our wonderful God.
Here are the rules
So. If you are nominated, please check out the following rules:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
Choosing wasn’t super easy. I read many blogs that I love for enjoyment. Often the posts cause me to think. These that I’ve chosen each have their own element that blesses me and causes me to think about things from another perspective.
Here they are in no particular order
1. Patricia’s Pollywog Creek . Patricia greatly encourages me. I enjoy reading about her family and homeschooling and how she helps others minister to their aging parents.
2. Ame at AME expression. She also encourages me. Her posts are frank and honest. I am greatly blessed to be able to have a blogging friend that truly understands how much of this trial feels.
3. My View from the Left Coast always has a Biblical perspective that I enjoy reading.
4. The Common Room provides me with great resources. The Headmistress is a homeschooling mother of many. Her posts are full of excellent information.
5. Robin at Pensieve often has posts with a quirky twist. Yet they make me think. I enjoy reading her posts from her perspective of parenting children a bit further down the road than mine is.
Thank you Shayne for letting me know that I cause you to think.

Lizzie, Wow…this means A LOT coming from you. I actually received this “tag” from another friend last week, but haven’t gotten around to tagging others. Get this–YOU were one of MINE! But, you got me first, lol.
When I read you here, I f.e.e.l. your posts…your heart…your pain…your joys…your frustrations. A Dusty Frame always reminds me there is soooo much more to bloggers than meets the eye–does that make sense?
I’m VERY appreciative that through all my silly stuff you’ve seen the depth. Sometimes that concerns me about my blog, you know? That it’s soooo much easier for me to write “light” posts. But when I staple my behind to the chair and dig a little deeper, I’m happy to know a few readers “get” me…
Thanks for the nod, Liz……..you ROCK!

Dearest Lizzie – I am truly humbled. Receiving this recognition from you means more than you could know. I only wish I could now tag you! Your posts are clearly some of the most godly and thoughtful in all of the blogosphere and I am blessed beyond measure to have met you in this place (though I wish your circumstances were different) and know that you are my sister in Christ. I have an interesting, and I believe God inspired, story to tell about this, but it will probably have to wait until either late tonight or tomorrow. I would like your permission to put this recognition on my “Washing the Feet of the Saints” blog/page rather than my home/Pollywog Creek page…if that is OK with you. I’ll explain more in my post tonight or tomorrow.
I am thrilled to read what God is doing in your marriage…as God recreates both of you to His Glory!
And Sergio…what an honor it is to be praying for him.
Much love,
Patricia
