Light
by adustyframe ~ April 10th, 2007My husband makes mazes for James. He said that it actually takes him hours to draw them.
Then he jokes, “Well, I do have the time.”
He said the other day he was working on a maze for James bright and early in the morning.
The lights in their pod were very dim. He worked away thinking how great he was doing and how much he accomplished.
When the lights were turned on, Lee realized that his drawing that looked so good in the dim light, now looked a mess.
He said, “Isn’t that just how our lives are when we’re in sin? We think we’re doing good and are accomplishing a lot. Then God shines his light on our lives and we see all the areas that are a mess.”
So true.

Whoa! That just blew my mind!
These analogies (like the one with the plant) teach so much.
Thank you for sharing this.

Wow, that is really insightful!
And I bet your son just loves getting those mazes too.

Oh so true…! And how often I hurry back in the shadow and hide there, just that I do not need to correct or even start fresh from the beginning.

Very true.
I love to hear about how he does little things to stay connected with your son. It’s so touching. I bet he loves getting letters from Daddy…can’t wait to see what he sent just for him.
Have you ever thought about taking all this and writing an inspirational book in the future? Your stories and analogies that you share are so inspiring and can teach so much. You’ve already touched your online friends’ lives…you could reach so many more. Anyways…just a thought.
