Mother’s Day was sweet

by adustyframe ~ May 13th, 2007

I hope when I posted the first Mother’s Day post, you didn’t think I was miserable over Mother’s Day. I was not.

I really truly just wanted to mention how odd the husband thing felt.

For some reason, the husband’s didn’t speak about how good their wives were as mothers.

I don’t know why!?

James and I enjoyed our chocolate! He wanted to skip the tea so we just ate the chocolate.

I took a nice nap.

He gave me a sweet card he made for me.

I visited Lee early this morning.

I picked my first 2 vases of lilacs! MMM!

It really was a fine day!

Lee mailed a card to church for me in case the husbands did that this morning. I had mentioned it to him.

His card listed the ways he appreciates me.

1. Visiting me

2. Taking care of James

3. Taking care of the finances

4. Your letters to me

5. Keeping us together

6. Your love

7. Homeschooling

8. Your kind words

9. Your time you spend doing things for me

10. Beating you at cards and Battleship when you visit (haha)

Then this that brought a lump to my throat.

“When I read Proverbs 31 today, it really describes you. Can’t ask for any better wife.”

I am so thankful that Lee is spending time in the word.

I don’t know that I am a Proverbs 31 woman, but to have my husband rise up and call me blessed is an encouragement I am incapable of putting into words.

I think that if my husband says I’m a Proverbs 31 woman, I’m not going to argue with him!

Thank you Lord for your goodness to us.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

I echo your husband’s sentiments you are a Proverbs 31 woman. You are an example and an inspiration to me in that arena. I am glad you had a good day and that He is blessing you and your husband so tremendously in your marriage during this time. My continued prayers for your faith, support and growth as the time quickly rushes by.
