My God will supply

by adustyframe ~ June 24th, 2007

From the very first day I knew about this trial, God has brought Philippians 4:19 to mind.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Every time I doubt. Every time I feel the panic rising. Every time, his still small voice whispers to my heart. My God will supply all your need.

This winter when my finances were horrible, I sat down and hand wrote the following verses on 2 sheets of paper. I taped them to my bathroom wall. I’ve read them every day since then. Some days,  I read them many times.

Out loud, silently, praying them. Whatever worked!

Copying Bible verses and posting them around your house provides and excellent opportunity to meditate on God’s word.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Psalm 37:25 I have been young and now am old. Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread.

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.

He restores my soul.

Psalm 120:1 In my distress I cried unto the Lord and he heard me.

Deuteronomy 33:25 As thy days so shall thy strength be.

James 4:2 Ye have not because ye ask not.

Philippians 4:19 My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits.

And the following sentence:

God is bigger than ANYTHING I face.

This is just what I needed to hear and what I’m reminding myself of right now. Bills are due by the end of the week and I’m fighting a panic. Truly, thanks for the verses. I’ll be toting them around in my heart this week. 🙂

    Great verses! I love the Psalms…they have such comfort in them. And it’s true, too…God will ALWAYS supply your needs. {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

I have scripture posted all over my house, too. My 2 favorites are: Psalm 20 – hanging on our mantle, and Psalm 34:11-14 – hanging in our kids’ playroom. I want it written on our hearts.
