Works of God

Sunday night is better than never right?

My works of God weekend post ties in with all the learning and growing God has been doing in my life.

On Monday night, at our ladies’ Bible study, I asked prayer for God to provide some things that James and I need. These things are outside of bills that need to be paid.

On Tuesday, the radiator started leaking.

On Wednesday, I was sent a gift of money.

On Saturday, Pastor took the car to see if the radiator was leaking or if it was a hose.

I prayed for it to be a hose.

He called me to let me know it was the radiator.

I prayed in the shower. I just told God I had to trust him because I simply had no way to pay for this. I had been praying for provision of small cheap things.

You know how that is though? When you need quite a few “small cheap things”, the tab can be not so small and cheap.

I thanked him for providing and I asked him to help me trust him.

I didn’t melt down first then trust later as had been my old habit. I just prayed and trusted.

When I got out of the shower, I checked the mail and discovered I had been sent another gift of money.

“WOW! Thank you Lord for meeting my need before I even knew how much of a need it was.”

My brother and his new wife came up for the weekend. They took James to do some special things and I had an afternoon off. Their visit is another blessing this week.

I went to visit Lee.

On the way to the prison, I saw Pastor in my car pulling into a gas station. (I was in his car.)

I pulled in behind him to discover him filling my car up with gasoline. Another blessing.

He had put something in it to stop the leaking and it worked.

Praise God!

So quite a few works of God in our home this week. One of the big works, is the trust that God has developed in my life.

This growth process has not been fun or easy. However, this week, I was able to simply trust and give the problems to him because I have seen him repeatedly move on our behalf. He has provided for us over and over and over.

Thank you Lord for providing once again.
