We will have to be at our store by 2:00 Tue-Friday.

For science we are continuing working through Apologia astronomy .

Our readings aren’t really textbooks–I decided that was the easiest way to put it on the schedule. Various books will be read on the days, not all in one day. A list of books we will use in Year 1 can be found here.

Math will be Math U See.

I still need to print our art prints, label each bin on the school shelf, clean up the clutter on the school shelf, print out copywork for the 1st several weeks, put the timeline notebook together so it’s ready to use, order the last few books I need (or print them from online sources.)

How is school shaping up for you? I’m wondering how closely this schedule will be followed.I’m sure once we get into the swing of things, I’ll tweak it a bit.

I finally organized our books onto a bigger shelf. I put all the books from one subject into crates or bins (purchased since I took this photo). I found that worked better than trying to line them up on the shelf.

4 Thoughts Shared to Year 1 schedule

  1. LeftCoastOnlooker

Today, I got the reading assignments on the calendar, the essays on the calendar & copies made & collated, the tests on the calendar. I have the first two weeks of reading checks done. Tomorrow, I’ll organize the writer’s workshop & create a new version of the Machiavelli quiz, cut out a few Ellison letters & put all assignments in the electronic gradebook. Then, I’ll be ready for the first day of school. Now, to the second day.
