Counting my blessings

by adustyframe ~ August 21st, 2007

I met again with the group of ladies.

We had so much fun laughing and cracking jokes about things that really aren’t funny. The grouchy guard, getting through the metal detectors, stuff like that.

It’s one of those “laugh or cry” things. So we laughed.

One of them shared how she has lost her family because of her choice to stay with her husband. My heart went out to her. I can’t understand that. I don’t know how that feels.

I have received a few comments in this regard, but no loss of friends.

The choice to stay or to leave is honestly no one else’s business. I touched on this in Honoring my Covenant.

I realized that I truly must count my blessings. I have been rallied around and supported by my friends, family, and church.

I haven’t had to face the loss of family or friends. I haven’t had to leave my home to be near my husband. God has been good to us.
