He got a raise!

He got a raise. He got the highest rating an inmate employee can get and he got a raise from .26 an hour to .42 an hour!
I felt like dancing around the kitchen like we always did when he got a raise.
Unfortunately this raise won’t make an impact in our finances, but I had been praying yesterday for God to provide for our needs. I also prayed for God to show Lee how much he loves him. I prayed that something could happen to remind Lee how very special he is to God.
On our visit tonight, Lee told me that he really shouldn’t have gotten a high rating. His incarceration won’t last long enough and the job typically goes to inmates with a longer sentence. (To avoid having to train employees over and over I’m certain.)
Lee was excited because he will be able to send home a few dollars to help pay for the telephone calls. He also said, “I’ll pay for James birthday presents.”
I know that has to make him feel so good.
Thank you, Lord for providing in this way. You are good to hear and answer our prayers.

Congratulations to Lee!!! And praise and thanksgiving to God. He builds us back up, brick by brick, the inner man and the outer man! I love how He loves us in the process.

Yay! My hubby got a pay raise, too! (Last March), and we’ve accumulated enough savings that we don’t qualify for food stamps anymore!
Hopefully we can keep our savings up. (I say this as I press the “Proceed to Checkout” button on Amazon.com to purchase a new car seat for our 90th percile baby boy…)
But anyway, yay for little encouragements from God!
