I have been blessed with my Titus 2 friend.

I have another friend from church that fits that category as well.

Both of them have been a blessing to me in the past week or so.

Last week, my Titus 2 friend and I were talking. I’m not quite sure what I said, but she said,

“Well, you are my friend and Lee is my friend. If someone doesn’t like it that’s their problem.”

I felt like hollering “You go girl!”

What a blessing to have a true friend to stand beside me.

The other friend was at my house for coffee last week. She came over to help her son deliver the washing machine.

I told her I feel like people are tired of us needing so much help. I am certainly tired of needing so much help.

She said, “Well maybe people are tired of you. If they are that’s their own problem. I think God sent you to our church to teach us how to take care of people and how to love. I’m not tired of you.”

(Insert another “You go girl!”)

These friends standing by me were just what I needed. A bit of salve rubbed on my weary heart.

Today, when James and I breezed into the store, my Titus 2 friend was there waiting for us.

“I’d say the boss is late!” she said. Oops! I got caught.

She came in to give me a copy of Facing the Giants.

She said, “I knew you said you enjoyed it so much. I didn’t think you’d consider buying it a priority right now and I wanted you to have it.”

She’s right. I can’t spend money on dvd’s right now. What a sweet friend to think about something I’d enjoy.

Thank you, Lord for my wonderful friends. Please bless them as they have abundantly blessed me.
