They notice
by adustyframe ~ October 23rd, 2007The guards notice.
I have wondered sometimes if they do or do they see everyone as a herd to move from one place to the next?
Last week, I was going to visit Lee early Saturday morning. When he went to put his breakfast tray away, the guard said, “You have a visit this morning. I can see it in your eyes.”
Another guard asked Lee if he has a little guy? Lee said yes he does. The guard said, “I saw him and your wife walking down the street the other day.”
Last week at the marriage seminar, one of the facilitators was late.
She shared with us that a guard escorted her to the room we were in. As they walked he told her that the ladies that come to the marriage seminar are different.
He said that we are very kind and that we are noticeably different than other visitors.
Wow!
What a reminder to me that people watch us everywhere. My testimony is important even at the prison. There isn’t any situation where it’s alright for me to be rude or pushy. I represent Christ everywhere I go.

Lizzie,
What a blessing to know that God living in you and living out through you is a testimony to the guards!!!! Christians lives lived for our Lord should shine out to others. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

It’s nice to hear that there are some guards that are kind enough to take notice and see them as real people.
But most importantly, I’m happy that God’s love and his family’s love shines through Lee’s eyes and others take notice. That’s exciting.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow … this is really profound.
Would you mind sharing this on The Covering? People are watching us go through our suffering.
