I found this link today via another blog.
Janet has several posts on the Church’s responsibility to single mothers trying to be keepers at home.
This one, “Single mothers and the church” is particularly good. In another one, she said that churches need to realize that helping a single mom be a keeper at home is enabling […]

Today was the last day.
I was almost as excited today as I was on the first day.
I sold more today though!
The next 3 days are clean up days and then I have my life back.
It feels rather surreal […]

Sometimes the things I deal with feel so hard and so overwhelming.
Yet, when I read something like this, it reminds me that God hasn’t asked me to deal with anything nearly as hard as this.
Please pray for this family while they grieve the loss of their little boy.

I found this one from nearly a year ago and thought I’d share it.
I have shared before that our church is absolutely not perfect. Some times I wonder about people, but […]

Today was just one of those days.
I wasn’t able to visit Lee since last Monday. All day today, I said, “Just one more week. Just one more week.”
This time next week my store owning days will be over. These past weeks have been crazy, but it’s just a few more days.
All day I felt that […]
