I am closing my store on November 30th
by adustyframe ~ November 5th, 2007I came to this decision after much prayer and struggle.
I wanted to do what’s right and best for us. I have known for about 1 year that owning this store is not what God wanted for my life.
But what does he want me to do? That question kept me from closing the store before now. I am still unsure exactly what it is that will follow, but I know the time has come to let it go.
I am excited about the future. I will probably get a part time job, or teach piano, or care for children in my home.
I have to close the store before I can pursue any of that. Since December/January is not a good time to establish a piano student base, I am praying that God will provide enough sales from going out of business for James and I to live on for that time period.
I am wondering what will happen? I don’t know. I do know that I am obeying God and I have to trust that he has a plan and he knows what he wants me to do.
I know that God will provide some way of making income that will help me continue to obey him in the matter of homeschooling James.
So please pray for me. November is going to be an overwhelming month. I have a building that is approximately 2000 sq feet and it is full of things that I have to sell, sort, or get rid of.
I’m also fairly certain that I will have some stressful customer situations to deal with.
Going out of business sales seem to bring out the sharks. I’m also praying that people won’t try to take advantage of me but that this time of closing could be a peaceful time of blessing in my life.

I’m glad that the Lord is leading you and that you’ve come to this tough decision. I’ll pray that everything goes smoothly, but even if it doesn’t, that the Lord will give you the strength and courage to go through them. If you need to collapse, collapse in His arms. Their the best ever.

So glad you are taking this step of obedience in what you have believed for sometime now to be God’s will for you. ” The will of God will never lead you where the GRACE of God cannot keep you” He will provide, guide, and give peace through the whole situation.
Praying for you.

What sort of store do you own?

I will pray for your peace and safety. I too wondered what type of store you own. Are the contents things that you could auction off, including the building. What about selling on craigslist or ebay….??? Is the building one that a not-for-profit could use?? even a church??? Just thinking out loud. I have written a book I would love to send you. I became a single mom when my daughter was 10 and stayed a single mom for 17 years….the book is all about creating memories and traditions. Is there a P.O. box I could send it to or another way to get it to you?? God Bless, Pam South Bend
Hi, thanks Pam.
I own a clothing store. I do not own the building. Only the business. I will do a lot of selling on Ebay!:) I will email you the address where you can send me something. Thank you!

I am praying you have a SUPER, SUPER day after Thanksgiving sale!!!! Will you post your ebay auctions on your blog? Maybe those of us far from you might want something?
Keeping you in prayer. Please pray for a silent request for me, too. Thanks

I’m so glad you feel led to this decision and find comfort in it. It sounds like you will be a very busy girl for the next few weeks!
I’ll be praying for God’s peace and blessings over the closing process and the transition to your new path.
