Works of God Weekend
by adustyframe ~ November 16th, 2007What has God been doing in your life this week?
I have so many.
The store closing sale is booming. I sat down to do finances and asked God for a certain amount each day. So far each day has been far above what I prayed for.
I prayed last night that someone would buy my fixtures and someone purchased almost all of them today.
My employees are so helpful and considerate of me.
I was worried about how I’d deal with the “going out of business vultures”–the people that want to buy expensive items for pennies. I prayed about that and I am blessed to tell you that not one time has anyone behaved in that way. My customers are coming in to wish me well, ask about what we’ll be doing, telling me they will miss James and I.
It’s actually been a tremendous blessing.
My feet are killing me and I am pretty tired but that goes with the territory.
My Titus 2 friend cooked dinner for us tonight. She knew I had so much to do and that my weekend is crazy. What a big blessing. James loved it and I loved being able to come home and sit right down to a hot meal.
Please share any blessing you’ve had this week. Even if they’re “everyday blessings” as James says.

Tell James that everyday blessings are my favorites. Every night at dinner, we go around the table and everyone (even guests) have to tell the best thing that happened to them that day and the worst thing. No one has to have a worst, but everyone has to have a best. We do this as a quick way to check in with our kids, but also as a way to remind each of us that God does give us those everyday blessings every day if we’ll just look for them.

This is a everday blessings. Great Friends, who encourage me. Fairly good health. Lizzie & James they are a blessing in my life. Lizzie prays for our kids and my husband and I so appreciate that. To see God answer prayers everyday. Life in Christ is totally awesome!! Climb up in His lap and allow Him to shelter you in His strong arms. I LOVE Him.

My oldest daughter is a special needs teacher (autism) and has been praying for a job change for three years. She wants to teach in the same system her children attend. Praise the Lord she will start a new job in December…unheard of that a teacher with many years experience would be hired at the same pay rate….in a new system….In the Middle of the school year!!!! God is good and sooooo full of surprises….

Our daughter and her husband on missionaries. Our church has been supporting them for a few years and has decided to drop their support as of the end of 2007. I have been praying that they would be able to more than replace that amount each month with support from other sources. One of their current supporters has decided to increase their support by more than what our church was sending!! AND DSIL may be able to take on a “tent making” position at their church doing tech support. The pay for that position would be over and above what that church is already supporting them. God is good!

Sue, I don’t know where your daughter and son-in-law live but my former pastor and his wife are also missionaries in another country and they have had tremendous success in supplementing their income by teaching English at their local university. It gives them a wonderful chance to earn money but more importantly it gives them a chance to share Christ. Pam in South Bend
