I have a confession to make…

by adustyframe ~ November 24th, 2007

When I mentioned earlier this month that I was going to a retreat, some of you assumed it was a super spiritual retreat.

Nope! It was a scrapbooking retreat. Now! We did have a devotional and it was a Christian environment, but it was all about the scrappin’.

I was organizing some things from that weekend–I got 42 layouts done! And I thought I’d share this one with you.

I’d love to share all of them, but as I edited photos of quite a few of them, I realized they share too much personal information.

**If for some reason you recognize this beautiful couple, please respect my privacy**

Without further ado, here is my brother and his new wife on their wedding day. Aren’t they super cute!?

I wanted to do something fun with this photo so I scraplifted an Elisie Flanagan design.

I took those 2! Pretty good if I do say so myself. I wanted to share them all with you, but doing that and preserving a bit of anonymity is hard to do.

Here are a couple other shots of the wedding. James with my niece and another one of my niece.

Wow…42 layouts finished, that’s something! I enjoy scrapbooking, but have not had anytime to lately. I can certainly see the value in a scrappin’ retreat…no chores begging to be completed, no phone, no interruptions…just scrappin’ to your heart’s content.

Your brother and his wife make a beautiful couple! Buy my favorite is James holding your neices hand…adorable.

Sounds like you had a good time!

Thanks, Jenn. James is hunched over quite a bit. I noticed that he looks short in this picture;). Yes the retreat was great! Also no cooking. They’d say, “Ladies, lunch is ready.” and you’d walk over and sit down to a fully prepared meal! Awesome.

These are lovely =) How nice for you to have a getaway! I am coming off some heavy duty scrapping myself – our Christmas calendars are finally done! Now – to give my house some attention LOL

Thanks:) I made a calendar for my mom last year. They are a lot of work!

That sounds like so much fun … and very productive!! I am so behind on our kids’ baby books and scrapbooks.

Maybe someday we can scrap together.:)

    Lizzie,
You really do BEAUTIFUL work. You deserved the time away. Christian enviroment and devotionals sounds great. So glad you could attend.

    Thank you:)

You are so lucky. I am WAY behind on my scrapbooking. I would love to go on a retreat. Your photos are very nice.

Awesome!!! I dream of a weekend like that! I do poke fun at myself and other scrap-a-holics, but I love it. You sure deserved the time “off”!

Now–how this for a dream: [take note fellow scrappers] my Church was BEGGING for people to update the Church Scrapbook Collection [started, from the looks of it, by the first CM Consultant in the congregation]. We have SEVEN YEARS of photos to crop, scrap and journal!!! Looking forward to it! All expenses paid scrapbooking!

Please pray tonight–I will be reading your posts to the girls in my AHG Squad. Let me know if you have one that is a “must,” in your opinion, to share with the girls.

I have not scrapped in a long time. To busy schooling and sewing. I love the pics.
BTW…did you get mail from me? A cd?
