All Moved Out

The store is no more. Today everything was moved out. As I was vacuuming, I felt a little sad.

The empty store triggered all sorts of thoughts. Mainly how I could arrange things, then realizing that my store arranging days are over.

Even though there have been some emotional moments, all in all it’s all good.

Thursday and Friday, my employees came over to help. I didn’t ask them to. They just did. My Titus 2 friend came both days too! She helped with so much.

Some other ladies from church came for awhile and today my family helped with the last loads and a man from church helped move out the counter.

My house looks like a “stuff” explosion. Over the next weeks, I’ll be doing paperwork, paying bills, seeing how the finances turned out, ebaying, getting ready for Christmas, advertising for piano lessons, and cleaning my house.

My friend called the other day to ask how my first day off was. I told her she was a silly girl. Up until this afternoon, I was still working full days cleaning up the store. The next days look mighty busy too!

This afternoon, my family helpers took James and I out for lunch. That was a blessing. It was hard for me to have them pay though when they were the ones that helped me.

They laughed and grabbed the bill anyway. So, I’ll just count it as a blessing.

Then we came home and I completely zonked out! I am so tired.

So, another chapter has closed in my life and I haven’t quite turned the page on the new chapter. I am trusting the Lord that this chapter will be even better.

My husband went out to remove snow from our second car which sets out. We had snow last night apprx 4 1/2 inches. Someone we don’t know who had blown our sidewalks and driveway.
    What a blessing that was.

Anonymous snowblowers are awesome blessings aren’t they?

  3. Rebekah

What a lovely gift to be treated to lunch!
We had our own special treat too.
Things have been tight here, and last night my husband’s Grandma gave us an early Christmas present of $15. She doesn’t normally give us things at Christmas, and we don’t expect her to but this was a blessing as it paid for my gas for the week.

    God Bless,
    Rebekah

    Great blessing! Thanks for sharing.

I think you did the right thing by waiting to tell him.

Timing is important – I think he’s ready when he asked you…

I too wished the boy didn’t announced it. ((((HUGS)))) to both of you…and to Lee too.

Thank you, Liza. I think you’re right that he was ready to know when he asked. Thanks for the hugs.
