Psst…

by adustyframe ~ December 18th, 2007

When I first got my e-book together, I emailed Crystal to ask her if I could give away a copy on her blog.

She said she would like to promote it for me and asked if I minded.

Did I mind? I have this new rule of not turning down blessings, so I said yes.

She posted this tonight and “knock my socks off” is right! She is so kind and I am literally overwhelmed right now. I need to sleep on it and soak in the goodness of God.

Crystal said that I could share about her give-a-way here on A Dusty Frame too and she will send you the free books as well.

I encourage you to read her blogs and keep her in mind for her ebooks. She’s taught me a lot and I appreciate her very much.

Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

I found your blog thru Crystal’s blog. I’ve been perusing through your site and I’ve gotta tell you that I identify with you on some level. I am the one of us who was in trouble legally and faced prison time. I wasn’t sentenced to incarceration, but I surely was taken thru the ringer with probation, court, judges, fines, fees, and all the rigamarole and heartache that comes with it. I have endured being arrested, and spending days in jail – and all that comes with it; not knowing if I’d be able to go home or not. It was more than a challenge that thankfully the Lord has brought to an end… I can tell you that the breaking of that season was for me, and also for the man I am to marry. There is nothing harder than remaining in a relationship and wondering how on earth it’s supposed to be ok, with all that surrounds you. And for me it has been especially hard remaining committed to what would seem not to be God’s best, but what really is the sweetest gift He could’ve given to me. I cannot tell you the heart I have for prison ministry and the families of inmates. I’d like to know you better. Please email me if you’d like, and let me know specifically how I can pray for you.

God’s favor is upon you and your family will be so much better for this stretch of transformation, than you know.

Rosheeda, thank you for your comment. I was blessed to hear from you. It’s good to find other people who know. I can try to explain and I think the Lord helps me. But when I run across someone that really knows and understands it’s always a blessing to me.

Hi! You asked me to comment so you could read my blog too. I hope you will. I’ve felt the Spirit so much today as I read Crystal’s post and have been reading yours. I’m so grateful for the internet to get to know you. Otherwise I’d never know you or what you are going through. For the past several days the words of Jesus, “I was in prison and ye visited me,” have been running through my head. I had no idea how I could minister to those in prison and when I read this today, I knew that’s what the Lord was working in my heart. I love you and I don’t even know you but I pray you will be blessed.

Very interesting indeed! I love hearing how the Lord works. Thanks for stopping by.

I also discovered your blog and story through Crystal’s blog. Your blog is very inspiring. I have a younger brother who has been in jail since ’96 on false charges. Our family is still going through the appeal process to get him cleared. God has certainly blessed your family with such great friends in the blog world and with strength and courage to make it through your situation. I will be purchasing your ebook as soon as I get more funds. Wishing you and your son a very Merry Christmas and many blessings in 2008.

Thank you, Kendra for sharing your story and for your encouraging words.

  7. Christy

I know I already told you this in an email, but I just wanted to say what a great ebook! I had fun going through it yesterday and perusing the recipes. My favorite part was all the little “extras” you added along with the recipes! Thanks for making it available for the rest of us. :-)

Thank you, Ashley! You are very sweet. I’m glad you are enjoying it.
