Excellent Broadcast on Focus on the Family today
by adustyframe ~ January 1st, 2008Wow! My friend Gigi came over for dinner today.
She said she had been listening to it on the way over so I quickly tuned in to the end of the broadcast. It was so good that I think I’m going to buy the CD so I can listen to the whole broadcast.
On today’s Focus on the Family. Manny Mills shared how Christians can minister to prisoners and their families.
One statistic he shared was that only 7% of the marriages of incarcerated individuals survive the incarceration.
Another thing he said made me yell, “Amen!”.
He said, “11% of the prison population are Christians. The same grace that saved them is the same grace that saved you. They don’t require more grace than you did. Therefore, they are your equal in Christ.”
Listen in if you get a chance, it was excellent.

Thank you for putting the link where we could listen to the program. I did listen. WOW Lizzie you already know we pray for you, Lee, & James. We will continue to do that. What a huge need there is for these precious souls and their families. Both while a family member is in prison and when they adjust to being back out and hopefully being able to still have a family when they get out. We LOVE you.
Thank you for praying. I’m glad you were able to listen to it too.

Just read all of your year in review posts….WOW….when I read your “what not to say” I was reminded of a coment that was given to me when a rude or inappropriate question is asked…”I’ll forgive you for asking, but you will have to forgive me for not answering”…..OR “why would you think it is OK to ask me that?” neither response is sarcastic…..just honest and polite. That’s a good way to answer rude questions. I’ll have to practice it.
