A lovely day

Today, my friend needed a ride. She had surgery and can’t drive yet.
James and I picked her up and we ran some errands.
She treated us to a treat at Starbucks. We sat and played dominoes and Uno and sipped yummy drinks.
What a blessing to spend time with a friend indulging in a treat.
James and I both like Starbucks, but spending money on it isn’t in our best interest.
It was truly sweet of her to treat us to something special.

Sounds like you had a nice day. Recently my mom encouraged me to start a blessing journal. That way when I am having a hard day I can go back and look at all the blessings in my life.
Have you ever thought of starting one? (If you don’t already have one?) I think your friend treating you and your son to Starbucks was a nice little blessing!

My mom does this still. I don’t have a separate journal but this blog is partly because I needed to record all of God’s goodness!

That’s wonderful. I have a Starbucks card from my last birthday (almost a year) that I have been hoarding for just such an event.
You made me think…I have a friend that could use a little encouragement…I think I’ll pick her up on my lunch break and we’ll go have treats!

Mmmm, Starbucks is one of my favorite treats too. But that exactly it – a treat – too expensive to become a habit!
I can’t imagine a Starbucks habit!! That would be bad news!
