Lee is doing well
by adustyframe ~ January 16th, 2008He still needs prayer.
He’s taking things well and today he looked good. He had sparkley eyes when I was visiting this afternoon.
He is taking an employment class. They teach them how to brush up their resume and talk about their skills and how to find information when they get out.
He forgot about Bible study on Monday! I told him I’ll be praying all week that he doesn’t forget next week.
He still works in the bakery.
He has been coughing up blood. That one worries me!
I asked him to go see the nurse and he won’t. Visiting the nurse costs money. If she prescribes anything that costs money.
I have no idea if it’s bad or just from dry air or a sinus infection.
It’s hard not being able to properly care for him.
I’m just praying for God to preserve his health, keep him safe, and draw him closer to the Lord.

Praying for Lee about employment. Glad to hear they offer the employment course on updating a resume. Also will add prayer for the issue of coughing up blood that sounds not good. Will continue to pray for you all. HUGS to you all.

I think the money spent would be well-worth your and Lee’s peace of mind. Please encourage him to see the nurse for his cough — especially in a condition like prison which is a breeding ground for germs and infection, I worry for him! Please have him get checked out if at all possible! God bless!
I agree it would be well spent! He’s the one that refuses to go.

Then we will just have to pray for his healing and that God will make him better quickly. Good luck:)

I’m a big believer in using a little guilt in an effort to get my husband to take care of himself when he won’t. Usually, I make the point that if the situation were reversed, he’d be more than a little angry if I were sick but didn’t go to the doctor.
Try that.
Or appeal to his frugal side… it’s always cheaper to go get care when the illness begins than when it gets more serious.
Or… the big granddaddy of all guilt-makers, do it for me.
I’ll say a prayer, though, since I’m assuming you’re a way better wife than I am and wouldn’t stoop to these levels.
Don’t assume I’m any such thing! haha!
I tried! I told him you are all worried too and he’s still saying no.
