This past week, I’ve been so full of thankfulness.
My Mom taught us to see blessings and to be aware of God’s working in our lives. I’m so thankful for this habit she instilled in us. I “think” that I’ve always been grateful for my blessings.
This week though I feel REALLY thankful. It’s so wonderful to [...]

Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
I was cleaning around the kitchen this morning and noticed Lee’s certificate on the refrigerator.
He participated in a Prison Fellowship study at the last prison he was in. When he finished he received a completion certificate. He sent it home [...]

I worked on this altered clipboard at the end of our Christmas break. I saw this idea a long time ago and the clipboard has been hanging around for several months.

Actually this isn’t a homeschool post. Just thought I’d “mess with ya” as James says.
Yesterday, my former employees and I got together.

We just finished reading Little House in the Big Woods. It was additional free reading for this year.
I loved these books when I was a little girl. I used to be angry that my Mom and Dad hadn’t named me Laura Elizabeth.

Lee and I have been talking about hobbies and things we can do together when he comes home.
Our interests and talents are pretty different from one another.
We plan to take walks, have a date night, and maybe (!) take ballroom dancing lessons.
He wants to do woodworking and thinks that’s what we should do. I told [...]

I wrote last fall about Lee filing for early release. We knew it was a long shot but figured that he should take every opportunity.
He got the reply from the judge this week.
Early release has been denied.
We didn’t expect it. We knew it probably would not happen.
It still hurts and disappoints though.
Lee said that it [...]

I shared earlier that Lee and I are reading Changed Into His Image together.
Yesterday when I visited him he told me how God is using it in his heart this week.
In the chapter we’re working on there is a section about how God humbles us.
Jim Berg says
1. He sends us problems we can’t handle to [...]
