This and that

I thought I’d try to catch you up a little bit.

1. Lee is SICK. When I went to see him on Sunday, he only kissed my cheek. He said he didn’t feel very well. When he called tonight, I could tell that he was miserable from his voice.  He said his throat feels like it’s been scratched with a wire brush and he hurts everywhere.

He has nothing to relieve any of his symptoms. I feel badly that I can’t do anything for him. I also am concerned that he’s facing the big prison germs with a weakened immune system. He can use your prayers.

2. He has been assigned ANOTHER parole officer. This makes number 6. We don’t know if this is good or bad. Actually we don’t even know who the officer is.

I have written a letter asking to meet with them to discuss our future. Perhaps having a new officer is the miracle we’ve praying for. Perhaps not. We simply do not know.

You can pray with us about this. We have been hearing some rumblings that the plans they have for Lee are going to make our life  difficult and unpleasant.

We know that God is bigger than that. We also know that if that is his plan, he will give us the grace to bear it.

3. Working out at the Y is going great! I’m lifting weights. That is fun. I’m going to be so strong Lee won’t recognize me. (hee hee)

4. Lee sent home a calligraphy with our blog names. I’ll try to take a photo tomorrow to share with you.

5. School is going well. We’re finishing up some things and getting close to finishing others.

It’s such an incredible feeling. God’s provision and grace are so amazing. 2 years of single parent homeschooling are almost past and we have not just “survived.”

6. I do NOT regret closing my store. Every day that passes reminds me how thankful I am to be store-less. I have seen quite a few of my customers at the Y. My friend from church says, “You’re so popular!” It’s nice to see people and see that they are excited to see James and I. Yet, it’s much nicer to be in the middle of God’s will for our family!

    Lizzie,

Who are the they that want to make life difficult? They is more than one person-the system in general, the parole board,?

And can the rumblings you heard be trusted? How trustworthy is the grapevine?

    I’m sorry Lee is sick.

Abrianna, I can’t really explain it to make any sort of sense. Sorry. Right now it’s only through the grapevine and no I don’t know that it can be trusted.

I am sorry to hear Lee is sick. We will be praying for all the things you have mentioned.
I am reminded of a hymn “God is Able” I can’t find the words right now but will keep looking. It states God is able more then able to help with all that concerns you today. Those maynot be the exact words, but the thought is expressed. Keep trusting God.

I know what you’re referring to! That is a very good song. Thank you for praying for us.

    Thank you, Martie!

I’m so sorry to hear Lee is sick. And I’m really hoping the rumors from the grapevine are nothing more than that – nasty rumors. I will keep both issues in my prayers.

Yeah for the schooling progress and fun at the Y! Why of course you and James would be popular! How can anyone not come to love you guys!

hee hee;) I’m sure there are lots of people that don’t love us! But you are so sweet;).

  6. Lisa

    Will pray for Lee.
On another note: I see you are ALSO reading last Yada Yada! I’m putting it off–I don’t want it to end. And, remember, I thought I’d hate these books!
Finally–I discovered we have a postage scale in the office so I’ll try to get you the postage tomorrow or Friday.

I know it’s sad to think there may not be anymore! But it hints that there will be some sort of spin offs?

Ok, let me know. I’m excited to get the books:)
