Our visit
by adustyframe ~ March 6th, 2008Last night, I went to see Lee.
As I sat and waited, I heard an inmate croaking at the guard’s desk,
“Norris. Unit B”
Oh man! He sounds horrible.
He came and sat down. His eyes were bloodshot and he could hardly talk.
He says that most of the guys with this seem to be better in about 5 days, so hopefully he will be feeling better by the weekend.
He had a hard time keeping his eyes open and his head up. He wasn’t feverish though–I did manage to feel his forehead. I tried to look down his throat but that’s rather difficult to do.
After I was there for about 45 minutes, he said, “When did you want to leave?”
He was too tired for me to stay for the whole time. I left so he could get some rest. I knew he really didn’t feel well then.
So, if you think of him today please pray for the Lord to relieve some of his symptoms.
I feel like I’m getting a sore throat too!

Oh poor Lee! Sounds like he felt pretty awful. I’ll be praying for restored health.
Take care of yourself, too. Unfortunately, it’s that season and there are some nasty respiratory/laryngitis bugs going ’round.

It’s got to be really hard to know he’s sick and hurting and that you can’t be there to help. Hopefully, this will pass quickly for him.
