Book Review~Creating Happy Memories
by adustyframe ~ March 11th, 2008Around Christmas time, I received a copy of this book. It was written by one of my regular readers, Pam Ogren.
I read it this weekend and enjoyed it. There are lots of great ideas for creating memories with your children and friends.
Pam also included memories from some famous people including Regis Philbin. (I wonder how you pulled that off, Pam?)
One that I really liked was to have note cards at church in the pews. That way people can write a quick note of encouragement to others and put it in the offering plate. The note could even be anonymous.
Then the pastor or ushers make sure the recipients get their notes. I thought that was a really great idea–one that removes lots of excuses for not writing a note! I am going to ask our Pastor if there is a way that we can do that at our church.
This book also included ways to create holiday memories, ideas for family devotions, and more.
Thanks, Pam for sharing your book with me!

I am glad you enjoyed the book Lizzie! I met my husband while we were both volunteering at the local Center for the Homeless so we have given all of the proceeds this past year to their children’s programs. The book is available at Amazon.com. It is the perfect gift for new parents, grandparents, teachers, newlyweds…..thanks again Lizzie. God Bless, Pam
