People

I have to shake my head at people sometimes. The things people say!

I met a lady at James’ Tae Kwon Do class. While the kids do their thing, some of the moms sit around and chat. I usually knit. That’s always a conversation starter. Everyone wonders what I’m working on.

One lady is actually very nice but she is rather blunt. She is from another country so I give her the benefit of the doubt.I  haven’t shared with them about Lee’s incarceration. It’s none of their business and they are complete strangers.

I also don’t wear a tattoo on my forehead that says, “My husband is in prison!”

So last week, while I was knitting, she sat at the table across from me. We talked about various things and then she said,

“Don’t you want to have more children?”

I said, “Well sure maybe someday.”

She said, “It’s just not happening huh? Maybe you need to lose some weight.”

Well I DO need to and I am working on it and actually doing very well.

However,  I’m fairly certain that my weight has nothing to do with the fact that we don’t have another child.

I just smiled at her.

Just like when last year one of the people at church asked me if I am pregnant.

(My hubby already had a nip nip several years ago!)

Yep, it’s my “protruding” belly with my loose blouse.

Lesson for everyone: Don’t ask someone of they are pregnant even if they look like one 🙂

    oh yes… PEOPLE!

    🙂

    Good lesson:)!

Oh My goodness……it never ceases to amaze me when people say things like that….it is like they have no filter…..in their head….out their mouth….oh and by the way I am working on losing the weight I gained when my daughter was born…..39 years ago (smile) God Bless, Pam

    Lol Pam;)

“However, I’m fairly certain that my weight has nothing to do with the fact that we don’t have another child.” hehehehehe

people rarely think. i try not to judge b/c of all the times i’ve stuck my big ol’ whoppin foot in my mouth!

since my girls look very little alike, i often get, “are they both yours?” and then they’re thinkin they have different dads. oh well.

I’ve stuck my foot in my mouth before too;) I just try to not ask if I’m not certain.

Uh hu…….I suppose it could be a reason ! 6 Months after I had Daniel, someone who remembered hearing I was pregnant said ‘oh, you are really blooming now…’ I smiled sweetly 🙂
