I got to see him today. He was out of “the hole” already. That in itself is huge.

Thank you for praying.

What happened was that the guard was snarling at the other guards and turned around and continued his snarl at my husband.

Smart or not, my husband said, “Dude. I’m sitting down. You don’t need to yell at me.”

So the guard was infuriated and it went downhill from there.

Lee said there was no banging and so he doesn’t know what I heard.

The guard spent quite awhile screaming at Lee while Lee was locked up in a fenced area. Then he was taken to the hole where he spent the night shivering.

He was released this morning from the hole and returned to his cell.

Thankfully none of his belongings were missing this time.

He spent the day cleaning up and returning things. He visited with the chaplain, the librarian, his teacher from one class, and a guard. They were all kind to him and chatted with him.

He was given a confidential survey to fill out. The warden wants to know which guards have done their job well and which ones have not. Lee filled in the name of “Mr. Sunshine” in the visiting room as an intimidating guard. I wonder if the warden will listen. He really is a frightening man.

Lee got his copy of the complaint from yesterday’s incident. The guard said that Lee refused to sit down and refused to leave the visiting room, which was not the case. He also said that Lee disrupted the visiting room by arriving one minute late. The guard wanted all of Lee’s visits permanently suspended–which is a little humorous since today was the last day he could be visited.

Lee isn’t going to file his version of the events just because he’s done. It will most likely be dismissed because Lee will be gone before there is any sort of hearing.

I told him that I was worried that they were hurting him. He said, “They can’t do that. So don’t worry about it.”

When I left today, I cried. I cried because we made it. We made it through this and somehow with the help and grace of God we will make it through the rest of it.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will be able to drop off Lee’s clothing at the new facility and I should be able to spend the afternoon with him. We’ll have to see how this will all work.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I told Lee that I’m certain that he was released so quickly from the hole because people were praying.

Thank you for supporting me through a very stressful day. I appreciate you so much.

Lizzie, I am so pleased for you. How long is he in the ‘half-way house’ thingie? Or is that another unknown? I hope there will be some kind of Bloggie “Welcome Home, Lee” party!

This is the great unknown right now. It could be short and it could be loooong.

Man Lizzie, you made it. Good job and praise the Lord! I just finished Jim Bakker’s book, I Was Wrong, all about his prison experience. I hope the halfway house experience is very very good for all of you. Am praying for the adjustment period to be quick and easy - why not? How far away is the halfway house? I trust you’ll have some good times there. Love, Susan

I think I should read that book. I used an illustration about Billy Graham visiting him on here one time.
Thank you for praying. He is about 20 miles away.
