Relief
by adustyframe ~ May 28th, 2008I drove past the prison the other day. It’s off the highway and sometimes when I’m going from point A to point B, I have to drive past it.
I can only say it’s such a relief to drive by and know my husband is not there. When I drove past it the other day, I just drove by.
My heart didn’t feel pulled toward it. I didn’t have an ache in my chest. I didn’t feel like I should blow a kiss in that direction.
I just drove by and whispered a prayer of thanksgiving that my husband is not there anymore.
