Lee and I had a relaxing weekend together. We decided to forgo the sightseeing and did a lot of resting.
We haven’t slept in the same bed for over 3 years. It was delightful to sleep with my husband curled up next to me.
I was so thankful to be able to ride instead of driving in [...]

Recently, Lee and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Long ago, I planned that our 10 year anniversary would be big. Second honeymoon maybe? An anniversary band? Maybe even renewing our vows.
Somewhere along the line, I figured we’d never have a tenth anniversary.
We aren’t in any position to take a big trip, buy diamonds, [...]

Over the last few weeks, I’ve heard a lot of wonderful reports about my son.
All moms know how wonderful it is to hear good things about their babies. The l comments make me so proud of him. They are also humbling because I haven’t really done this alone. Without the Lord, I would be a [...]

**Update number 2. The interview went really well. They were excited about his skills and his excitement about the job. They said they have 2 positions open and have 2 more interviews. They had already interviewed someone before Lee.

Shortly after I asked you to pray [...]

Lee went to see his parole officer last Friday. She has been a little easier to talk to and not as harsh as she was at first.
Lee handed her some information she asked for. I wrote it up for him and left it for him with a love note. He didn’t think [...]

I envisioned myself throwing my plates one by one onto the back wall of the garage. I imagined hearing them crash, shatter, and fall to the floor. I wondered if hurling my dishes [...]

Crystal has a just for fun post up at Money Saving Mom.
What have you made at home?
Here’s my list–remember it’s just for fun. If you haven’t tried to make things at home who cares? I just love the challenge of seeing if I can do it, or if I can save money.
Oh and I didn’t [...]

I’ve written about this subject before. Here and here .
One of my faithful readers sent me a link to the article, “Overcharging for connections.”
One of the comments sums up what I’ve found to be true,
“Prisons and the companies who provide this “service” know they can get away with this “legalized extortion” because the people it [...]
