My brother is pretty awesome too!

For mother’s day, my sister called James and had a lengthy phone conversation. They went shopping online together and chose something for me.

There was much giggling and whispering and mom pretending not to look. Of course I did have to help get James online so I had a bit of a clue what they were shopping for.

A few days later, a box arrived on the porch and James whisked it away to “hide” it on his bed.

On Mother’s day, he gave me a box full of beautiful yarns. He was so delighted to be able to give me something for Mother’s Day. I was thankful that my sister gave him the opportunity to plan a surprise for me. She is very special.

I have two sisters. My other sister likes to send us surprise packages in the mail. She sends a gift for James and something for me. Last week, her package wasn’t a surprise, but it was one of the best! She sent me the first two Anne of Green Gables mini series on DVD.

What fun I’ve had watching it with James and hearing him howl with laughter at the scrapes Anne gets into.

I was just finishing reading L. M. Montgomery’s biography so it was perfect timing.
