Do you feel like you’re riding a teeter totter with us?
by adustyframe ~ July 2nd, 2008I do! The temp agency called today with another placement for Lee. He starts on Monday.
It pays $1 more an hour than the last one did.
These past few days while I’ve been trying to rid myself of worry, I had a feeling that God would take care of us but that this was a test.
Were we going to give up and fall apart or were we going to trust?
The lady at the agency said to Lee today, ” You know it’s so funny. When this job came in last week, I thought of you because you’re so qualified for it, but you were already placed. It’s so odd that the other job dropped you because they had a lot of work.”
Lee got a recommendation from the other company. He wasn’t let go for any reason other than they were out of work.
We had to grin at the lady’s comments. Hmmmm….. I wonder just how that all worked together?
It’s not funny. It’s God.

Wonderful!
There are so many times I have wondered why things happen to us, and then I am reminded God has a plan!
On my way to work I pass by a church who displays a different quote, thought, or saying on their sign by the road every week. This week’s thought:
Worry is the sin we are not afraid to commit.
Yow. That hit home for me. He always has a plan. I just don’t always put my faith where it needs to be.
Yes, that’s a zinger! It’s true though.

When my husband had cancer, it occurred to me, {and has since sustained me through his 2 other life threatening illnesses}
that this life is a test. We need to trust Him despite how the situation appears to us. Sometimes we forget that He is arranging circumstances for the better good.
And just like they say on the early defense warning system that is on radio and tv,
God promises
“when it is an actual emergency we will be told where to go and what to do.”
Of course He has told us many details in scripture which with discernment should be applied , but also the Spirit is ever available for comfort and help. We truly are never alone in our struggles! He has a plan for our good. Praise Him!
Thank you, Beth for sharing this with me. I appreciate your wise words.

We call them ‘see saws’. Glad the ups are getting more than the downs though.
