Well, it’s still the weekend in the US. Happy Labor Day to you all.
I’ve had a lot of blessings this week. I just didn’t get my post up.
My father in law turned 80 yesterday. We had a family picnic this afternoon. We gathered at a park at the edge of a lake and sat and [...]

You know the drill right? Just share something that God has done for you this week.
If you’re thrilled over health, provision, or life, share it! If God has pointed out something in your life to work on or showed you a special passage share it.
Anything that God does in our lives is worth sharing!
You may [...]

Part 1 here
As I type up these lies that we so often believe, I am only sharing them with you. I don’t believe that every woman believes every lie. I do want to challenge you though to be honest in your own heart and ask God to show you if there are any lies that [...]

How to Make a Book of Centuries

Before I started homeschooling James, I wondered how I’d keep my home from looking like a school.
Don’t get me wrong. I get really excited about the things he’s learning. I enjoy this homeschooling adventure more than I probably should.
But! I didn’t want charts, maps, posters, and timelines ALL over the house.
Of course these thoughts of [...]

One particular family at church has been a huge help to me.
They’ve watched James for me many times. They took him to AWANA and kept him on Wednesday nights last year so that I had a “for sure” day to see Lee.
When he was released, she kept James much of the first week so that [...]

Did you know it’s not too late? Your church or group can sign up for Angel Tree still.
Our area has asked that we sign up by September 15th. I’m going to head our church’s involvment again this year.
Angel Tree helped fill a void in our lives for two Christmases. I can’t begin to explain the [...]

We had this for dinner tonight. MMM! We wrapped it in tortillas rather than put it on lettuce.
This stuff is so good.
The best part is that James picked his onions, green peppers, and garlic from the garden and helped me chop them up for the skillet.
Nothing beats veggies eaten minutes after being picked.

A Dusty Frame’s birthday slipped by a few days ago. That’s my fault. I was going to do a big shebang, but I didn’t have the oomph to plan it!
For 2 years, I’ve shared our story here on this little space on the web. Actually the first year, I used a Wordpress hosted blog. Then [...]

When I put James in bed at night, we count our blessings of the day.
I believe doing so helps us reframe our thoughts about the day’s happenings. Many parts of our life seem so ugly (and they are!) that we have to stop and pay attention to all the good things God has done for [...]

This past week has just pretty much been a week.
James and I started school.
Lee worked and worked and worked!
We got his first real pay check and what a blessing it was. It’s going to take us a few weeks of nice paychecks to get caught up and on our budget plans.
Please pray for Lee to [...]
