Last year, we schooled year round. This year, we finished up at the end of April. With Lee’s release in May, I just needed a break. I prefer to start after Labor Day, but we’ve really had enough break. I’m ready for us to get back into a schedule and get cracking on the books.

James is going to be in Ambleside Year 2 this year. I’m excited about all the great things he’s going to learn. I’m going to learn right along with him.

I can’t help but be amazed that God has allowed me to do this as a single parent. This starts our third year of homeschooling and up until now, I’ve been the breadwinner, the homeschooler, the parents. I’m grateful that as far as I know Lee will be winning most of the bread this year! I can’t even explain what a relief that is. I’m still doing the schooling and the parenting, but I’m so thankful that God has allowed me to homeschool even in this trial.
