Apple Dumplings

My friend Joy was here visiting today. She and I made these last night.

Here’s what we did differently and we think this batch was much better!

1. Use 1/2 apple per dumpling. Frankly I can’t see putting 1/8 of an apple in them. Give me some apple!

2. Cut the sugar to 1c.

3. Add 1 Tb cinnamon and 1 tsp. nutmeg to the butter/sugar mixture. I still sprinkled cinnamon on top of the dumplings before baking.

    Oh, that site is too much…..I am seriously hungry now!!! Later today I have to make my semi-weekly pilgrimage to Wal-Mart, so I think I’ll pick up dome of those crescent roll thingies and make this with my daughter. Yay Pillsbury. Made specially for lazy people like me who like yummy things.

    Keep these food links coming. I like easy, cheap but yummy things to make.
