Leaves, Mentos, & Misc
by adustyframe ~ November 19th, 2008James and I raked half of the backyard today. We have a huge tree and that baby has a LOT of leaves.
Today is a nice crisp (not too cold) Autumn day. It felt good to get some of the yard cleaned up. We put some toys in the garage, put the garden hose away, picked up some mushy tomatoes from the garden to compost, and put the leaves on the curb for the “leaf sucker truck” to pick up.
I’m already feeling it in my back. Raking is not good for me, but Lee works so many hours, and he doesn’t live here so that complicates issues.
When we were done, James tried his new “Mentos geyser“. It was very cool!
This afternoon, I am going to work on Lee’s hat that I’m knitting. Can I just tell you how amazing it is to be able to knit something for my husband that I can just hand to him and he can wear?
I have to make some calls for our Angel Tree project. I’m the coordinator for our church. Hopefully they will be home!
James has AWANA tonight. He’s already finished his book for the year. He will review it one more time and then there’s a small section in the back that he will do. Usually he doesn’t’ finish his book until the early spring.
When he’s at AWANA, I think I’ll try to get some things listed on Ebay or in The Attic.
That’s about it around here. Thank you for praying for us. The discouragement is poking around the corners and trying to find it’s home in our hearts, but we appreciate your prayers so much!

We’ve done the Mentos test before ourselves!
