Lee’s Hat
by adustyframe ~ November 25th, 2008Last week, I worked on a hat for Lee. I was excited to use up some yarn from my “stash”. I had purchased the brown wool for a teddy bear that I never knit. The blue wool was given to me.
This is the first hat I knit in the round so I’m pretty proud of it.
What do you think? (I had to edit the photos quite extensively since James was modeling it for me. Hopefully you can get a good idea.)

That looks great!!!! I’ve tried kniting once or twice since I was with you but I’m thinking I might stay with crocheting.

Hi~
I’ve been a reader of your blog for at least a year now (probably longer), but have never commented. I just thought of an idea that I wanted to pass on to you. For some reason the picture of James wearing Lee’s hat made me think of it. I can’t imagine how hard being apart is for you, your son and your husband. Sometimes, my kids like to take a shirt or pillow or something like that of mine or dh’s and sleep with it. I think just the scent of their parent is comforting. Maybe you could take a shirt or pillow or something that has Lee’s scent on it and give it to James to keep/sleep with/what have you.
That idea just popped into my head and I wanted to pass it on to you.
Many blessing to you my dear. I’ve said many prayers for you and yours and will continue to do so.~~
