This is a prayer request. The story is to long to tell but I met a woman from another state 2 years ago at a University football game. She shared her story with me. She is a teacher and her husband was going to be trial for committing a white collar crime. They have been married 30 plus years and never been apart. That is how I found Lizzie’s site…I was looking for support for her. Well today he was sentenced to 57 months in prison and 3 years probation. Please pray for her. She loves the Lord and is trusting Him but the pain and hurt are very real. Thank you

An excellent opportunity, indeed. And while Lee is most assuredly a part of James’ rearing, don’t be hesitant to accept the compliment on your own good parenting.

I’ve been wondering about that–do they consider when making these decisions that they are taking a father away from a family and out of his child’s life? We as a society are suffering the devastating consequences of children growing up fatherless.
I’m very impressed with your continued love and support for Lee. I’m writing a blog post–unfortunately on the back burner at the moment–that was partially inspired by your example; I’m trying to express some thoughts percolating through my mind about the importance of love and our need to have courage to love. I’ll let you know when it gets posted!

You said exactly what I was thinking. I think it was good for his parole officer to see James. Hopefully she will now associate a little boy’s face and a family that belongs together when she’s thinking about Lee and to know that, yes, James is raised with good and loving parents. Continuing to pray on this.
