I’m visiting Lee tonight

I’m not particularly excited about going. Can I let you in on a little secret?
I HATE jail/prison visits. I hate hate hate hate them.
This place has cold metal stools attached to the floor. You can’t even move to get comfortable.
It’s an old sad looking facility.
I’ll have to look through the glass to see him. It’s hard to hear if many visitors are there.
It’s cold tonight and I have to drive quite a ways up the highway.
I’ve been putting it off a little bit. Not a lot though. I can only go on Sunday afternoon at a certain time or Wednesday night at a certain time and the first week, I had to wait to be on his list.
I don’t want to see him in orange.
I don’t want to look through the glass and miss touching his hand.
I want to go on pretending that this isn’t happening.
But he needs me.
Please pray for a safe trip and a decent visit with a minimum of tears!

Lizzie I do pray for your safety, physical and spiritual….my heart aches that you are having to go thru this….but you will go

It’s late and you are probably home by now (or have at least left Lee). I pray the visit went well and that the Lord is very near to you tonight.
