Simple Woman’s Day Book~February 2
by adustyframe ~ February 2nd, 2009I’ve never particpated in this, but I’ve seen it on quite a few blogs. I’m writing it on Sunday night, but if I wait until tomorrow it won’t get done!
Outside my window…It is dark.
I am thinking…I pray that my cold, sore throat, aches are gone when I wake up!
I am thankful for…So many things. God’s provision, our home, my son
From the learning rooms… We are learning about ocean life in Science. Crustaceans right now. We’re reading Robin Hood, The Wind in the Willows, and Mr. Popper’s Penguins for literature.
From the kitchen…I have a lot of dishes to do. I wasn’t feeling well all weekend. I think we’ll have chicken and baked potatoes for dinner. Any good chicken recipes you’d like to share?
I am wearing…My big white furry robe, a skirt, a white shirt, and fuzzy red slippers.
I am creating...I wanted to make soap this weekend but didn’t feel well. I did knit on my brother’s hat a bit and that’s about it.
I am going…nowhere hopefully!
I am reading…I just finished Kilmeny of the Orchard by LM Montgomery.
I am hoping...to feel better soon, to get my taxes filed today, to write a letter to my husband.
I am hearing…the news and ringing in my stuffed ears.
Around the house…it’s cluttered due to my not feeling well. I didn’t get much done. James is snoring right now.
One of my favorite things…my lip gloss and tissues!
A few plans for the rest of the week: Get the house back in shape, visit my husband, list some things on Etsy.
Here is picture I am sharing…
I don’t just have a boy to teach math to! I also have a homeschooling cat!

So, you managed to get the cute cat AND the cute boy in a photo! No screaming and running this time?
They both look so studious! I do hope you feel better soon, Lizzie. Praying for you all!
I think James screamed and ran immediately after this shot;)!

The cat looks like he (she?) is checking the answers…

We couldn’t homeschool without are “classmates” (i.e. the 4 cats) When my daughter is fed up with her ambleside work she’ll ask “Can I do the cats school day today?” They especially love read alouds on the couch with blankets or under the covers in one of our beds! They also NEVER complain that it’s “too hard” or “too boring.” I love teaching them! lol….
Too cute!
