Transferring
by adustyframe ~ April 14th, 2009We think Lee is transferring tomorrow. They don’t tell us for sure. You know, I may whip along side of them and take out two guards and spring my husband free!
(If you knew me you’d be howling. I’d never do that anyway, but they’d whip me in an instant!)
Anyway, Lee was talking to some guy in the jail who did this program before. He said that Lee will probably transfer and start the class right away tomorrow. That’s a big day!
Thinking about Lee transferring so far away makes me sad. Also the whole “prison” thing. For some reason it feels so much bigger and worse than jail. Even though he’ll be much better off there.
Last week, I went to visit him. I called my friend to see if she’d watch James. I explained that Lee was transferring and I had to bite my lip to keep from crying. I wrote in this post how prison is such an ugly word. It still is.
I’m praying for his safety on the roads tomorrow. He will be shackled, it’s a safety precaution, but it also makes for a very long ride. I’m praying that he will do well in the program and that his PO will start choosing to let us have our family back.

Saying a prayer for both of you!

Hehe I’m imagining you taking out all the guards singlehandedly and rescuing Lee, shackles and all. Since I don’t know what you look like, I’m going to have to assume you’re a tough Marine-type woman who can karate kick like the best of ‘em.

Hugs and prayers for you…

Bless your heart. Will pray for your sweetie myself tomorrow. My goodness, I admire you both. I don’t have a clue as to what real hardship is.
Take care.

I have been praying for you all to be reunited since I began reading your blog roughly 18 months ago. I will continue to pray for that sweet reunion day.

Praying today that your family will be restored. This has been such a long journey for you. I have been meditating on Psalm 57:1-3 for the past couple days. “In the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamites be overpast. I will cry unto God most high: unto God that performeth all things for me….God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.”

Praying for you and Lee! Yes, the image of you trying to spring Lee from jail is pretty funny..since your the one who at the thought of getting in trouble wouldn’t it.

Have they ever given you any kind of timeline as to when this will all be over or is it entirely up in the air depending on a number of things? Praying ti will be over soon and you all will be reunited.

I don’t know what you look like, but I imagine you in a sweet little floral ensemble, tricking the guards with your polite innocence all the while knowing you’re hiding a big brick in your Vera Bradley handbag.
Let us know how it all went.

Let me know as soon as you know. What is the travel time to the new place?

I’m just now catching up on your blog–how did this happen? Why does he have to return to prison for a minor parole violation, especially after all of these months in jail?
Hi:) I mentioned in this post that his parole officer chose classes and programs she wanted him to take. That’s why he’s going to prison because that’s where they are available.
