Here are some Easter links I’ve been finding on Facebook or Twitter the past couple of days. They are some really good things to help us remember that Easter really has nothing to do with eggs and chocolate bunnies. It’s Friday but Sunday’s Coming A couple playing He Lives on one piano–the recording isn’t so [...]

This week on Christian radio it’s all about Easter–which is of course a very good thing. I listened to a speaker say that the women who went to the tomb that morning were not expecting a risen Christ. I immediately thought, “Why weren’t they!?” Jesus said that he’d rise again. Then I realized that I [...]

Parts 1-3 here. Lee sent me a paper with a study he’s been doing. He asked me if I could figure out what book it was from. I said, “It looks very much like Lies Women Believe.” He said that’s what he’s doing. That sort of cracks me up. The county jail houses men and [...]

Written to a group of friends on a forum July 1, 2006–we had won our hearing and I thought my husband was coming home. The decision was reversed and I went through a serious struggle with my faith. Last fall I was blessed to be able to attend a retreat. I mentioned the speaker briefly before. She has suffered tremendously painful trials. Her sweet spirit and incredibly Biblical teaching was both convicting and encouraging. These are just my notes as she spoke. Her messages were full of wisdom. I probably missed a lot. [...]

She and her husband are burying their 4 1/2 month old son tomorrow. I can’t begin to imagine the hard days they’ve just been through and the hard day they face tomorrow. I know that she’d very much appreciate your prayers for peace. Also two of their other three children are ill with the flu–no [...]

I found another prison ministry last week. This one tries to get Christian programs into prisons. Second Chance Rainy Day Survival Kit this looks like a good idea although I don’t know that I’ll get organized enough to put one together. A yummy looking recipe for Banana Oat bread. I actually bought bannanas at the [...]
