Relief
by adustyframe ~ May 1st, 2009I haven’t heard from Lee in several days. Yesterday, I started to get worried.
I wondered if he was angry with me, or if he wasn’t allowed to write.
Then I started thinking about the couple we met at a marriage seminar. He had open heart surgery and she didn’t even know about it. So then I started wondering if he was ill or hurt.
Then I got frustrated because if he were ill or hurt, I know I wouldn’t know about it.
All sorts of crazy things went through my head!
I asked God to help me trust, but I felt so uneasy.
Then today, a nice big letter arrived full of news and bits of communication.
My heart felt a big sigh of relief.

How good to hear that everything is fine! Our imaginations can run away with us at times. It’s awful that they wouldn’t inform a spouse for something as major as heart surgery!!

Isn’t it interesting how we can imagine the worst instead of imaging the best???
I imagine you getting the notification that “IT IS OVER” Lee is coming home….
