**I really should put “make a new graphic” on my to do list!
What blessings has God showered you with this past week? Have you learned anything in your study of God’s Word?

1. I started going through the bin of James’ summer clothes. I felt so blessed as I sorted. He has lots of nice things to wear for this summer and even next fall. God is so good to provide our needs.
2. My brother and sister in law spent the weekend with us. My brother changed my light bulbs, mowed my lawn, entertained my boy!
3. James played the offeratory with me today. He played a song with my brother yesterday–that was the first time he ever played for anyone but me. So, when I said we were going to practice “Deep and Wide” to play at church, he hopped on the piano bench and we practiced away. He didn’t complain once and he did a super job. He didn’t make any mistakes either. Playing in church on a Sunday morning is a pretty big first performance.
I was thinking that I’m so blessed to be able to serve with my son. It was a very special time.
So, what about you?

Valentina got baptized yesterday! We invited all of her friends from school, who came with their moms, and we had a party at our house afterward. It was great!

My husband and I noticed that our children were not obeying very well and we had not been consistent in requiring their full obedience. I began to think of how to tackle the issue and first hopped on the Internet and searched for “consequences for disobedience” hoping to turn up how other parents have dealt with this. But then I stopped and thought, “Why am I looking here for the answers? I wonder what consequences for disobedience are recorded in the Bible.” I turned off the computer and went to my bedroom and prayed, asking God to reveal through His word a plan for guiding our children into obedience. Then I picked up my Bible and concordance and found many, many stories to relate to the children and lessons to share with them. *I* am learning to go deeper in my obedience along with them. Praise God for His answers that are pure and righteous.

Christy,
That soooo sounds like something I would do! I am much quicker to go online and surf than I am to seek God in His Word these days. Thanks for the reminder – I really appreciate what you just shared.

This week I was blessed my being able to purchase a Tempur-pedic side pillow normally selling for $99 new for $25 from my neighbor who had only used it 4 times and then had to purchase a softer version. I love the firm one and have not had the neck and shoulder problem I was having before. God is so good to provide.

There are always so many blessings. I think sometimes we think they have to be BIG in order to consider them to be “Blessings” but even the smallest things are blessings from God. I travel a lot for work now and God keeps me safe on the road.
